Mercury Clones

To be honest with you, I like this picture of the 2010 Mercury Milan. It looks classy and it finally has a personality, even the body differs from the Fusion. This would make complete sense for Mercury to put it threw. However this is just an average joe designing it.

This of course would be the Sable, and this however really doesn't have any distinct character like the Milan up above has. Mercury lost it's touch, and that's why it seems like without a doubt, Mercury is on the road to death. However I don't understand Allan (President of Ford) is going to bring a small compact Mercury in line.

Mustang uncovered

So the Mustang has been busted, at least with the headlights that is. If you look closely you see the metal peice in the headlight for the turn signal, in the illustration.

If you look at the up close spy shot of the 2010 Mustang headlight you see the metal around the turn signal indicator. Hmm that illustration was at least right with the headlight, is it possible it's also correct with the rest of the new body. Time will only tell!

Presto!

The new Ford Fusion looks really good, luxurious, sporty and serious. It really isn't even all that different but it's enough to make it look way different. It you were to look from the side view you wouldn't think the Fusion is different, because the sides aren't new. This is just a refresh to make a good thing even better.

Failed Attempts

So I started thinking about all the failed cars throughout the year, and I couldn't help but realize most of them were badge engineered ones. Like the Saab 9-7x, Buick Rainer, Oldsmobile Bravada, GMC Envoy and Chevy Trailbrazer. Well okay so the Chevy and GMC weren't a total loss, but there won't be a second generation planned, for any of the above suvs.

Just like Ford did with the Ford Explorer, Mercury Mountaineer, Lincoln Aviator. The Aviator was gone after only three years, the Mountaineer is having a hard time pushing 1,000 units off the lots these days.

If you really think about it, a lot of badge engineered cars really tank, just the jazzed up Mark LT, man was that a nice truck, but the truth in that story was the fact it was like a F-150 is nice clothing. The last generation Tahoe, Yukon and Escalade did terrible to hide their familes ties. It's ashame Chevy always got the worst verison, always!

Acura TL

I had to do a double take when I looked at the new TL, I thought for a minute that it was the TSX. I'm not overwhelmingly shocked with the design Acura has picked for the new TL. Acura has a new good look for the brand, and with just maybe a few tweaks, this car would be just perfect. I figured I'd point one thing out before I signed off, don't you think the headlights of the new TL and the old TL look identical!

2010 MKX

I'm really starting to wonder what Lincolns going to do with the MKX by 2010. With the MKZ getting a face lift and the Navigator being redesigned just the other year. The Towncars going to kick the bucket by 2010 and the MKS just is being released. Will they incoropate the split grille to the suvs or will the egg crated grille be the suv grille. It bothers me not to know, sincerely the #1 most dedicated Lincoln fan!

09' Acura TSX

Acura is getting funky, in a good way with their designs. Well that goes to all except for the RL, man did they mess up with that. The new TSX is a big improvement over the previous generation. I'd lease it in a heartbeat if the new A4 wasn't so sporty.

Complete Garbage = 2009 Dodge Journey

The PT Cruiser is ending production at the end of this decade, the Pacifica is jumping into the ocean and the Crossfire ceased production already. The Sebring is walking a thin line, barely making sales and the Chrysler Town and Country is doing just as bad. Seems like Chrysler really has it rough, even before Mercedes let them go, they were doing bad. Chrysler is playing with fire, and I think the fire is going to overtake them, sadly.

Old Vs New Pilot

Well this picture tells a lot. Honda for some reason has this blocky and sexy design theme that they think it working so well. However the reality of this madness it that its not. The Previous Pilot in the middle was critized for being blocky, well hell, they just added more fuel to the fire. Seriously, go to your nearest Honda dealer, even look inside, it looks like the cockpit of an airplane!

Lancer is "Cool"

The new Lancer is quite handsome I noticed, the last generation was in the toddler stage, this new Lancer is what Mits needed all along. The front end means buisness and the interior has a grown up, sporty yet business like interior. All they need now is to get them to sell like hotcakes!

C-Class Hatchback onboard

Mercedes-Benz is going to bring back the C-Class coupe to broaden its C-Class line-up. Only this time around it seems as though Mercedes took the time to give the car a sexy look. If you still remember the prior hatchback had the same body. While the bodys not bad at all, after eight years. No known date when they will be on sale but I'm sure it will uncut the sedan just like the last generation.

There are so many photos on the internet of what next X3 will look like. After looking threw each one and getting a general understanding of BMW design language, I am willing to bet the new X3 will mimic this picture. Doesn't look too bad, this time around, finally!

Mark LT goes to heaven

Lincoln is sending the Mark LT off to truck heaven, after a little more than three years on the market Lincoln never sold as many units as expected. Could it of been bad timing, lack of distinction from the F-150 or that Lincoln just simply can't hold a truck in their line-up. Hopefully if Lincoln brings another pick-up back in the future, it needs to be distinctivly Lincoln and offer everything you could want in a vehicle

No doubt the new MKS has sex appeal, Lincoln finally took the time and money and put it into a vehicle and look what happened. From the new grille, to the headlights, to the rims, its all so good.

The interior is just as good as well. Lincoln is indeed dropping the retro interiors in favor for new, more modern designs. The MKS debuts with new technology such as a next generation navigation system, push button start, adaptive cruise control, rain sensing wipers, auto high beam control, 3.7 class exclusive v6, Sync and much more.

This was a car that looked good as a concept, and it became better after the concept. We the people love when that shit happens!

If you look closely at the detailing you will actually notice this is a side vent. If you do a drive by you would just think it was the Lincoln symbol. Little touches like that add style and appeal.

As stated before the instrument cluster is designed for the 21st century. I except Lincoln will eventually update the retro clusters in favor for the modern ones.

Back up sensor in the front and back are standard. Which makes parking so much easier. And if you still on the fence, even with the sensors, there is also a back-up camera. The display is shown threw the navigation system.

2010 BMW 5 Series

The new 5 series isn't very bold, just like the previous verison. There is no excitement to the BMWs anymore unless your looking into the X5. What ashame, the new E Class is going to give BMW headaches, as always

What ashame, the new Dodge Ram, Chevy Silverado, Toyota Tundra, Ford F-150 and many others idle. Production has been ceased for a few months while others just widdle away to nothing. Toyota made such a praise about their new Tundra and they are the one facing the side effects now. Doesn't matter if your American or Foreign, you'll still follow the crowd.

Chevy Volt went south

Chevys in the process of putting this Volt you see here into production, one of the first modifications made to it was a smaller gas tank. When it was shown at the autoshows, it was said to get 600 miles out of one tank of gas. Well now they have shrunk the gas tank, it is estimated it will now get around 340 to 350 miles out of a tank of gas.

Chevy Traverse

The Chevy Traverse has got a sort of style about it that is nice but is also awkward and weird. The front mimics the new Malibu but the grille is too extended. Once you get around to the sides the design looks even worse. There is nothing special about this crossover, its just another Chevy with an identity crisis.
The interior doesn't even looks that great. When your paying 30 grand and up for a vehicle, you except the best. Chevy doesn't seem to think thats true, the interior gives me a bland peice of mind. You just come to think your in a car just like the rest, instead of one unlike the rest.

Bitch Slapping Mercedes

Remember when the CLS came out to the market? It was beautiful, got much praise from car critics and everyone adored it. Well now Mercedes Benz has fucked with a good thing, and gave it an overal appearance that looks weird. This is one of the few Mercedes-Benz refreshes gone wrong.

Next 3 Series

These pictures are believed to be the next 3 series. All I can say is it's different but it's not very BMW, doesn't mean its a bad thing. The current 3 series doesn't have much sportiness to it, but blah i'm a BMW styling.

As far as the butt-end goes, it seems exactly like a 1 series, afterall no one is certian this is the next 3 series, it could possibly be a 1 series four door sedan!

Sexy Mazda!!

Mazda finally did what they always wanted, which was to add sportiness and sex appeal into their designs. Their crossovers look great, the rx-8 looks great and now the new 6 looks fanastic.
If you really look at the detailed design, its really nice, espically when you look below at the previous 6.

The inside however is nothing sporty. However when your building a sporty car, you don't except a luxurious interior. Those are two different classes, so future buyers, don't bitch! The new 6 should pack an optional 3.5 v6 producing at least 260hp.

As far as my forecast for this car goes, they should meet the goal, which is to sell 100,000 units annually. Way to go Mazda, have fun with it!

X1 and X3

Not only does the supposed new X3 look boring as ever, but the new X1 crossover looks that much worse. I believe the more you shrink a car, the worse its going to look. BMW never gets it right, except for the X5. The X6 is weird looking and way overpriced, the X3 is small and boring and expensive and now this X1 is just out of your mind ugly. It looks as if its got some kind of mental illness, sucks!

Hyundai Genesis Concept was looking pretty good, however we all knew it wasn't going to make it into production looking so fly. So Hyundai watered it down, gave it a bland grille and called it a day. The end result is so bad I didn't want to even post a picture of the car on here.

Damn Chrysler

Every since there baby daddy (merecedes) spun them off, they've been producing terrible designs. So the Chrysler Aspin has chrome, its a damn Dodge Durago with all the makings of a "lets get a dumbass to pay more scheme." The Nitro is garbage, and so is the Avenger, Charger, Sebring and those cheap dumbass Jeeps they released not too long ago. The Town and Country isn't selling, and the Sebring has been spotted running around with camo on it, meaning they are modifying it. If you don't take a risk with design, you'll get what you deserve, which in the automotive industry is no sales.

New A4 lauches

The redesigned but hard as hell to tell A4 is being released as we speak. To be honest with you the first time I saw the new A4 I thought to myself, "what do you mean all new, it looks exactly the same." Well actually its not, after comparing the 08' models closely to the 09' model you start to see the difference. When you see the inside of the 09' versus the 08' then you release, shit this must be new. Good luck to Audi with this one, when its time for me to buy a new car, I will consider this, due to a reasonable price.

I must say the split waterfall grille in the front is badass, not to mentition those rims are well. Where I start getting a little bummed is the sides, no changes whatsoever. The tailights are so damn close to each other they mines well connect like the MKX. Overal though, this is a refresh done right!

Fusions face-lift

Ford is up to no good messing with a good thing, well at least the outside that is. The changes made on the inside were welcome. When the Fusion first bowed and began to sale like hotcakes, Ford got happy. The Fusion one of the many models needed to revive the brand, however with a modest face change, things might not be so good. The only complaint I ever heard about the Fusion was the lack of character on the sides and back end.

Hopefully Ford knows what there doing and have some kickass design underneath that camo going on. If you look at the interior picture, right below the driver-side air vent theres a lid to a storage cubby. Kind of odd lookking if you ask me.

Chevy Camaro on its way

As you can see sales are down for many auto companies, damn look even good ol' Toyotas down. Well everyone important except for Honda. Somehow they managed to beat the downfall. Good for them I suppose. I believe the result is from the redesign Accord, because it sure as hell isnt coming from the new Pilot. I'm beginning to believe GM, Ford and Chrysler will be forever in trouble.

Land Rover Crossover

Land Rover is planning a crossover to offer something differet, other than traditionally suvs. One can only wonder what the future of Land Rover will look like. Hummer is facing a break down, sales to date are down 60 percent compared to last year. Crossover or not, Land Rover and Hummer might be facing extinction. Too bad so sad, the Land Rovers are sleek and sexy but if there is no market for these suv brands, then there won't be a future.

F-150 delayed

Ford has delayed release of the 09' F-150 due to overstock of 08' models. Rising gas prices have put all suvs and trucks in a stand still. The people who were comfortable paying $30 a fill up back when are no longer able to put $100 in the tank weekly. Ford of course will be refousing their bread and butter winner. Ford was known for quite some time for their trucks and suvs but with the shift in the market, cars and crossovers are there new target to bring in the $. The redesigned Focus is selling like hotcakes and Ford will soon release the Fiesta, a small economical car for the market of today. The Tarus will be brand new for the 2010 model, a revised Fusion and an updated Mustang. Ford has just released there Flex and gaining success with there well known Edge. As for the years to come the F-150, Expedition and Explorer will be a thing of the past.

MKS takes charge

The 09' MKS seems to be a promising car to finally replace the ill-fated Lincoln LS. I hope Lincoln spends the money promoting the vehicle and showing the world what they have. Now that Ford has sold Land Rover and Jaguar, Aston Martin, and plans of making Mercury dissapear by 2011. Ford just might have the time and money to put the much needed money into this one proud luxury brand. That hopefully means no more chrome Fords as Lincolns. The MKZ was Lincolns offical start. The MKX is also doing very well for the brand, however it still needs more distinctive Lincoln in its dna. Lincoln plans for the future are as follows, dropping the Mark LT by the end of 2008. The Towncar is expected to live until 2011, when Lincoln should have a replacement flagship sedan. The future of the Navigator is unknown, production has slowed down dramatically due to rising gas prices. The MKZ is due for a refresh and should be released in 2009. No plans for the MKX are known either. Lincoln will finally offer a bigger crossover in a year or so. Having said all of the above, Lincolns future is promising, the MKS is a great part to the future of the company.

2009 BMW 7 Series

This time around BMW decided they needed to get a tid bit more bold with their designs. As we all know BMW hasn't been known to be bold and different. They pretty much stick to the same design for every vehicle in there line-up, just like Mercedes. The 09' model is more sleek, curvy, edgy and sporty than the model it replaces. With the competition such as the Merecedes S-Class and the Audi A8 offering the latest technology, BMW realized they needed to step up to the plate. As of right now, I give the 2009 7 series a thumbs up.
